As a former fine art photographer, Arturo learned to see light and shapes in a different way. He became fascinated with the idea of capturing a moment in time and conveying that into paper. "I remember the first time in the darkroom I put photographic paper through the developer after exposing it with a homemade pinhole camera, I thought it was magical, I was hooked for life" he says.

After graduating high school in Mexico City, Arturo traveled to Europe and lived there for over a year and a half where he learned to appreciate the arts and also grew as an individual.

​

After returning from Europe, Arturo decided to pursue a higher education. He moved to Denton, Texas to attend The University of North Texas and graduated in 2000 with a BFA in photography. 

​

After college, Arturo began working for one of the best known studios in the Dallas area. This is where he discovered and fell in love with the world of commercial photography and learned the ins and outs of the business.

 

In 2002, Arturo opened his own studio and has photographed for some of the best companies in the industry such as American Airlines, Bombay, Cyan Design, JCP, Neiman Marcus, Target, The Container Store, Sam's and others.

Arturo loves the outdoors, where he spends his free time camping and hiking with his five children.
